Episode Guide To Help You Win Your Fantasy Football League!

8/29/25: Risk Factors For The First Three Rounds & Almanac Update!

As you draft your fantasy football squad this weekend, we want you to relax, have fun, and realize that all the touts who seem so *certain* about everything will be proven wrong in under a week. Draft players you like, the ones you think are good -- you will make mistakes because we all do, but then we'll spend the entire season reviewing tape and fixing them. For today, we'll talk about roster construction early in drafts by rating each player in the ADP top 36 from 1-to-10: how *risky* are they? Plus a heavily revised Joe Mixon profile from the August 29 Almanac Update. Phew! Guest: Jeff Bell from FootballGuys.com (@4whomjbelltolls.bsky.social).

8/28/25: Total Listener Request!

We've bloviated about the 2025 fantasy football season enough! It's time to turn the show over to you! On today's episode, we'll spend most of the time tackling your questions, some football, some non-football. Do we mind doubling up superstars on the same fantasy team? Are there early-round RBs that could tempt an inveterate Zero RB drafter? Can Kyle Williams overcome the curse of the Patriots? What are our current fave bands and Coen Brothers movies? Thank you for being the best audience around! Let's answer your questions! Guest: Denny Carter of Rotoworld (@dennycarter.bsky.social).

8/27/25: Handicapping The NFL In 2025 & Cutdown Day

NFL Cutdown Day happened on Tuesday, and...it was a little underwhelming? At least in terms of big names changing teams, Cutdown Day didn't really deliver. But we *did* get some pretty big roster news elsewhere, with players who did and didn't wind up going on PUP lists and IR lists. We'll handle that material, we'll read Brian Robinson's *new* Almanac profile, and then we'll have a look at the handicapping market for the NFL in 2025. What team win totals do we like and not like, who do we like to lead the major stat categories, are there player props we like, etc. Fun show! Guest: Chris Raybon from The Action Network (@ChrisRaybon).

8/26/25: Players We Might Be Wrong About!

Let's not be touts! We can't see the future, and predicting sports is hard. It's important to acknowledge the assumptions that get baked into our fantasy football draft ranks and our assessments of NFL players and offenses. So that's what we'll do today: we'll sift through our 2025 ranks and come up with five players we absolutely could wind up being wrong about. Plus: Terry McLaurin signs, Joe Mixon will miss a month, Amari Cooper is a Raiders again, and a great snarkbag. Guest: Ben Gretch of the Stealing Signals Newsletter (@bengretch.bsky.social).

8/25/25: Late-Round Players We Love For 2025

By now, we've done a heck of a lot of drafts, mock and otherwise. So we have some personal anecdotes about the players *we* have tended to draft in the later rounds. That'll be today's discussion: where we think the soft spots are in the double-digit rounds of fantasy football drafts in 2025. We'll list QBs, RBs and WRs we love taking late. Also: fallout from the Brian Robinson trade, the Dolphins mess at running back, and what we're doing with the holdout guys. Guest: J.J. Zachariason of LateRound.com (@lateroundqb.bsky.social).

8/22/25: Super-Deep Sleepers Part 2 & Preseason Baggy Awards

The Super-Deep list continues today! Five more players we're not drafting, but we'll keep an eye on as the season progresses. Also: it's premature, but because of Cousin Josh's impending vacation, you're getting the Preseason Baggy Awards a week early. Get ready for Josh's biggest trash bags of 2025, and also just simply get ready to laugh. The big shows keep on coming! Thank you for listening! Guest: Cousin Josh (@DetectiveFisch).

8/20/25: Safe Players To Draft In 2025

Sometimes unsexy is good! On today's podcast, we'll discuss the merits of drafting *safe* players. If your draft strategies sometimes involve selecting risky players in early rounds -- and they should! -- it can make sense to find some high-floor players in the early/middle rounds who can present a smoother ride. We'll select one safe player per round, and discuss! Also: Anthony Richardson gets benched and embarrasses his *2024* ranks, Brian Robinson will no longer be a Commander, and we'll read a DeVonta Smith Almanac profile. Guest: Scott Pianowski of Yahoo! Fantasy (@pianow.bsky.social).

8/19/25: Previewing The Rookies For 2025

Rookies usually get drafted too high for fantasy football. But there are absolutely exceptions to this rule. *A few* 2025 rookies will probably make a big splash and potential swing leagues. Can we identify them? Well, maybe *we* can't, but often Matt Waldman can. We'll dig into the big rookie names who are getting drafted to be fantasy starters, and the potential values among rookies who are going in later rounds. Plus we'll do a snarkbag, a great listener mixtape, and update Terry McLaurin and Brian Robinson. Guest: Matt Waldman of FootballGuys.com and the Rookie Scouting Portfolio (@mattwaldman.bsky.social).

8/18/25: Five Busts For 2025

We always say we'll draft any player...at the right price. But there are some players whose prices seem so "off" to us, there's no way we'll get them. That's how busts are born! On today's show, we'll count down the players we *won't* be drafting for fantasy football in 2025: QBs, RBs, WRs and TEs who simply won't wind up on any of our teams. Plus we'll review the Joe Mixon "flag" call in light of new leaks about his injury, and we'll discuss other fantasy-relevant news from the weekend! Guest: Patrick Daugherty from Rotoworld (@rotopat.bsky.social).

8/15/25: Flag Players 5 Thru 1 & Frag Players For 2025

Let's keep counting down the Flag Players until we get to #1! These are 10 players we love drafting in fantasy football leagues in 2025! Who will make the list? Today we'll also discuss some NFL news that has resulted in ranks changes, we'll draft another best-ball squad, and we'll get the inverse of the Flag List as the Prince of Darkness joins to present his 2025 Frag List: players you should definitely stay away from. Big fun! Guest: Cousin Josh (@DetectiveFisch).

8/14/25: Flag Players 10 Thru 6 & Offenses We Might Be Wrong About

It's Flag Day! Today we start picking players we definitively want in fantasy football drafts for 2025. We'll plant some flags on some players' draft stock, where we think the dude is sufficiently good, and the round is sufficiently cheap. Who will wind up among the 10 flag players? Listen and find out! Also: we'll question some of the offensive situation assumptions underpinning several important fantasy ranks. Big show! Thanks for listening! Guest: Sigmund Bloom of FootballGuys.com (@SigmundBloom).

8/13/25: ADP Surprises For 2025 & Brock Bowers Profile

It's time to start looking at where these fantasy football dudes are getting drafted! We've held off to this point, so that our opinions can remain our own, but beginning with today's show, we'll start digging into ADP. To kick that off, we'll count down the biggest surprises we experienced upon first looking at Average Draft Position for 2025. Plus: Brock Bowers's Almanac Profile, and a review of the day's biggest NFL news, including James Cook getting a brand new contract. Guest: Dave Kluge from FootballGuys.com (@davekluge.bsky.social).

8/12/25: Post-Hype Sleepers For 2025

You like sleepers! Who doesn't like sleepers? On today's podcast, we'll tackle a particular kind of fantasy football sleeper for 2025: the Post-Hype variety. These guys have been drafted higher in the past (sometimes much higher) than they're going this summer, and we think they have a chance to live up to prior lofty expectations. Let's count down the Post-Hypes! In addition, we'll talk about a few ranks changes we've made based on beat reports, plus we'll play a hilarious listener mixtape. Guest: Jamey Eisenberg of CBS Fantasy (@JameyEisenberg).

8/11/25: Film Room Zeroes & Profile For Davante Adams

Sometimes knowing which players *aren't* good is half the battle. On today's podcast, we'll count down our Film Room Zeroes for 2025: NFL players who simply didn't lay down very good film in '24. We'll draft *anyone* at the right price, but we're casting the side-eye at these particular players for fantasy football this year. We'll also read Davante Adams's Almanac profile and get invited to more zany stuff. Guest: Jim McCormick.

8/8/25: Acid Reflux All-Stars For 2025 with Cousin Josh

Just because drafting a player in fantasy football is stressful, doesn't mean we won't do it. But it's good to know what you're getting into! On today's show, the Prince of Darkness returns, and we count down our Acid Reflux All-Stars: players who might return great value or might tank our teams, but either way, we fear they'll give us the stress farts. Plus we'll talk about the latest NFL joint practices and some ranks adjustments we made overnight. Guest: Cousin Josh (@DetectiveFisch).

8/7/25: Film Room Heroes & Chuba Hubbard Profile

Sometimes you just wanna sit back and watch the players play. There are some insane athletes in the NFL, and some of them just have that little extra something that makes them glorious to behold. That's who we're honoring on today's podcast: the Film Room Heroes. They aren't necessarily perfect fantasy options, they might not even be draftable in some cases, but we've enjoyed watching them so much. Also: we'll read Chuba Hubbard's Almanac profile and review the news from the first round of NFL joint practices. Guest: Brandon Funston of The Athletic.

8/6/25: Swing Players For 2025

High-variance players are tough! On the one hand, you understand how they can be important starters on your fantasy football team. On the other hand, it's terrifying to trust them! That's the conundrum we have when we think about Swing Players: players who have so much upside and so much downside that they can swing the results of your league all by themselves. That's our list today: Swing Players for 2025. Plus we'll review the news about Keenan Allen and some injured backup running backs, and get more invites to things! Guest: Jeff Erickson of Rotowire (@jeff-erickson.bsky.social).

8/5/25: Best & Worst O-Lines & Almanac Talent Grades

Offensive lines matter! Of course they do, they're the bedrock of NFL offenses, and the skill players we draft in fantasy football rely on their o-lines to produce big numbers. Unfortunately, we're not always great a *predicting* which o-lines will be great or disastrous. Then again, we didn't play o-line in the NFL! But today's guest did, and he'll list a few lines he's excited about and a few that give him pause. In addition, we'll talk through the latest NFL news, and also refer to some of the highest and lowest Almanac grades we gave this year. Guest: Ross Tucker of the Ross Tucker Football Podcast (@rosstuckerpod.bsky.social.)

8/4/25: Most Important August Storylines & Yacht Club Subscription Info

We spent July on the podcast going team-by-team and assessing the stories that will matter most for fantasy football in 2025, and how our opinions might change as a result. Today, we'll put it all together and come up with a list of the five August storylines that have the biggest potential to shift our ranks. Plus, we've got a bunch more invitations, we'll talk about the Almanac being ready to go, and starting today you can subscribe to the Yacht Club Podcast! Guest: Dave Richard of CBS Fantasy (@daverichard.bsky.social).

8/1/25: ALMANAC DAY & Big Announcement & NFC West Preview

Almanac Day is finally here! You can lay your hands on our Fantasy Draft Guide -- the 2025 Harris Football Player Profile Almanac. But that's not even the biggest news on today's podcast! We've got a doozy about the future of the show, and we hope we can get you excited. Plus *while* we're doing all that, we're also gonna talk some football! We're going to preview training camps for the teams of the NFC West: the Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals and 49ers...what will we pay attention to and what will we ignore as the buzz comes out of those August practices? Guest: Andy Behrens (@andybehrens.bsky.social).

7/29/25: AFC West Training Camp Previews & Zay Flowers Profile

Big questions loom in the backfields for teams of the AFC West. Will the Chiefs rely on Typewriter Feet Isiah Pacheco? Will Najee Harris's fireworks injury hand the Chargers job over to rookie Omarion Hampton? Will the Broncos tell us who's ahead between J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey? And will the Raiders mess around with a veteran like Raheem Mostert rather than handing over their entire job to rookie star Ashton Jeanty? We're not sure whether August beat reports will answer all these questions, but we'll talk about how our opinions might change over the next month on today's show! Guest: Ben Gretch of the Stealing Signals newsletter (@bengretch.bsky.social)

7/25/25: NFC South Training Camp Previews & Pod Nicknames Of Old

Fantasy Football is getting closer...and the noise is getting louder! We'll do our best on this podcast to cut through the NFL blather and focus in on the stories that matter for your fantasy draft. That means discussing how our opinions *can* and *cannot* change based on training camp and August beat reports. Today, we'll talk about the teams of the NFC South -- Buccaneers, Falcons, Saints and Panthers -- and how flexible our fantasy ranks might be depending on what news comes from those teams. Also: Isaac Guerendo's Almanac profile and we'll play a few of our favorite nickname sound drops from days of yore! Guest: Patrick Daugherty of Rotoworld (@rotopat.bsky.social).

7/22/25: AFC South Training Camp Previews & Ashton Jeanty Profile

Can Travis Etienne recapture the backfield in Jacksonville? Will Christian Kirk or one of the rookies emerge as the second target for C.J. Stroud? Is Tyjae Spears finally going to challenge Tony Pollard for primacy in Tennessee? Should we care who wins the QB battle between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones? We'll try and answer these questions and several more, as we look at training camps for teams of the AFC South. Which stories should we pay attention to in August, and which should we ignore? We'll do our best to divine which is which! Plus more listener invitations and an Ashton Jeanty Almanac profile. Guest: Jamey Eisenberg from CBS Fantasy (@JameyEisenberg).

7/18/25: NFC North Training Camp Previews & More Listener Invitations

What will Aaron Jones vs. Jordan Mason look like for the Vikings? Why is Bears NFL first-round pick Colston Loveland getting no fantasy football hype? What will John Morton's effect be on the Lions offense? Will Matthew Gordon rise above the mess of receivers in Green Bay? We'll tackle these questions and more as we preview what we might be able to learn in the training camps for teams of the NFC North. Also, we'll read George Pickens's profile in the upcoming Harris Football Player Profile Almanac, plus read more of your invitations. Guest: Jake Ciely from The Athletic (@allinkid.bsky.social).

7/15/25: AFC North Training Camp Previews & Tank Bigsby Profile

What will the Steelers' backfield look like in 2025? Is Kaleb Johnson ready to assume Najee Harris's old workload? How about the Browns' backfield? Quinshon Judkins is in the news for all the wrong reasons, but there are several other bodies (including rookie Dylan Sampson) who might get involved. We'll dig into these questions and more on today's podcast; we don't know the answers yet, but we can at least talk about what training camp drama we'll pay attention to, and what we'll let slide by unclicked-upon. Also: Tank Bigsby's profile in the forthcoming 2025 Player Profile Almanac! Guest: Matt Harmon of Yahoo! Fantasy and ReceptionPerception.com (@mattharmon.bsky.social).

7/11/25: NFC East Training Camp Battles

Your fantasy football opinions should be sticky! Right up until they shouldn't! It's a fine line, but we'll try and walk it as we preview what we'll be paying attention to in training camps for teams of the NFC East. Will the Cowboys definitively land on a running back? Is Cam Skattebo going to wind up being a legit threat to Tyrone Tracy? How should a Terry McLaurin holdout affect our rank of him? Do the Eagles have *anything* worth paying attention to in August? We'll dig into the ways we hope our opinions stick and don't stick in the coming months! Guest: Jimmy McCormick of ESPN Fantasy.

7/8/25: Welcome Back - AFC East Preview

We're back! Our 2025 NFL season coverage begins with a dive into the teams of the AFC East, with an emphasis on what we can learn and how our opinions can change during training camps. The Bills, Dolphins, Jets and Patriots all have uncertainty in their skill-position players, and in particular a couple of RB situations in this division bear close inspection as we prepare our fantasy draft strategies. Let's dig in! Thank you so much for coming back to the show! Guest: Dave Kluge of FootballGuys.com (@davekluge.bsky.social).
